UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure Streamlines Governance, Cuts 745,000 Procedures to Boost Customer Satisfaction to 91%

The UAE’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) has made a significant stride toward streamlined governance, announcing the elimination of over 745,000 bureaucratic procedures across 21 services, slashing service delivery time by 75%.

This transformation saved customers an impressive 21 million hours and reduced in-person visits to MoEI by the same percentage, boosting customer satisfaction with ministry services to 91%.

The announcement was made during the award ceremony for the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Award for Zero Government Bureaucracy, a program aimed at fostering innovation and simplifying government services. The event gathered MoEI officials, partners, and staff, recognizing efforts toward operational efficiency and excellence.

Sharif Al Olama, MoEI Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs, commended the collaborative efforts to reshape government services, noting that

“innovation in government processes is essential for meeting the evolving expectations of customers and aligning with global standards.”

He highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to nurturing a culture of excellence and motivating staff to pioneer solutions that address service challenges.

“This award doesn’t merely recognize winners; it encourages all employees to propose breakthrough ideas that foster adaptability and efficiency,”

Al Olama added.

Laila Al Bloushi, Director of Strategy and the Future Department, emphasized that MoEI’s achievements align with its Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, underscoring the Ministry’s dedication to simplifying procedures and delivering services efficiently.

This initiative underscores MoEI’s mission to create a resilient, customer-focused government model in line with the UAE’s broader vision for progressive, technology-driven public service.
