Dubai Schools: KHDA announces key dates for the Academic Year 2023-24
The Ministry of Education in the UAE requires schools that follow the international curriculum to have 182 academic days in a year.
Although the summer holidays have a few weeks left, parents with school-going children are preparing for the upcoming academic term. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has announced the dates for the new school terms for the academic year 2023-24.
The academic year has been split into three parts.
For the academic year 2023-2024, Dubai private schools that begin their academic year in September will commence classes on August 28, as stated by the KHDA.

The KHDA gives schools some freedom to decide when to have vacations, but they must follow the minimum number of instructional days required by the UAE's Ministry of Education. For schools that follow the Ministry's curriculum, the minimum is 188 academic days. For those using the international curriculum, it's 182 days.

It's time for back-to-school shopping in Dubai! The city's shopping malls have started their yearly offers for the occasion, aligning with the upcoming school reopening. The Dubai Shopping Malls Group has organized a shopping festival for 2023, involving 19 malls, and there's a chance to win cash prizes totaling Dhs100,000.
