UAE: Shorter school hours announced during the holy month of Ramadan

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has stated that school hours in Dubai during Ramadan should be limited to a maximum of 5 hours of instruction time.

On Friday, Lalitha Suresh, the principal of GEMS Our Own Indian School in Dubai, stated that they will discuss with parents to finalize the specific timings and submit them to the KHDA.

Some schools have decided to implement a schedule of 7.45 am to 12.45 pm from Monday to Thursday, with regular school timings on Fridays.
