UAE to Host 2024 Edition of ‘The Africa Debate’ on October 31

The UAE will host the 2024 edition of ‘The Africa Debate’ on October 31, marking a major milestone in enhancing trade and investment relations between the UAE and Africa.

Organized by the UAE Ministry of Economy in collaboration with Invest Africa, this event will take place in Dubai, offering a significant platform to explore emerging economic opportunities along the UAE-Gulf-Africa trade corridor.

Bringing together over 300 global business leaders, investors, policymakers, and thought leaders, the forum aims to advance partnerships and expand economic cooperation between the UAE and African countries.

Juma Al Kait, Assistant Undersecretary for International Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Economy, emphasized the UAE's commitment to deepening ties with Africa, highlighting Africa’s strategic importance as a trade and investment partner.

Chantelé Carrington, CEO of Invest Africa, expressed excitement about partnering with the UAE Ministry of Economy to promote mutual investment and business linkages. The UAE is the largest Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) investor in Africa and the fourth largest global investor, making this forum critical for advancing Africa’s growth.

The Africa Debate - UAE will feature panel discussions on cooperation in key sectors such as financial services, energy, logistics, ICT, and digital transformation, encouraging entrepreneurs to invest in these vital industries. Having had 10 successful editions in London, the forum’s UAE debut is poised to further strengthen economic ties between the two regions.
