UAE to Host Third Edition of the International Programme for Civil Aviation Leaders in Dubai
The UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), in partnership with the Government Experience Exchange Office (GEEO) at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, is set to launch the third edition of the "International Programme for Civil Aviation Leaders" in Dubai from November 18 to 21.
This prestigious event will bring together over 20 ministers responsible for air transport, alongside senior civil aviation authorities from Arab nations.
Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Chairman of the GCAA, emphasized the UAE’s pioneering initiatives in advancing the civil aviation sector. He stated that the programme showcases the nation’s innovative strategies in sustainability and advanced technologies while fostering regional collaboration to strengthen the Arab aviation industry.
The event will feature key discussions on topics such as economic growth, government innovation, and artificial intelligence in aviation. Al Marri highlighted the importance of the initiative in promoting shared knowledge and exploring future trends that align with the UAE's Vision 2031.
Abdulla Nasser Lootah, Deputy Minister for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange, echoed the sentiment, stressing the UAE's dedication to sharing its successful models in governance and economic development with Arab and global partners.
Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the GCAA, called the event a milestone in fostering cooperation among Arab nations. He noted that the programme will include strategic presentations, field visits, and discussions held at landmarks such as the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, Emirates Towers, and Expo City.
Launched in 2019, the initiative continues to strengthen aviation’s role in economic growth and sustainability while solidifying the UAE's leadership in the global aviation industry.
