UAE to Host World Bank Group's Cloud Computing Meeting and Global Government Cloud Forum
For the first time, the UAE is hosting the closed meeting of the World Bank Group’s (WBG) Cloud Computing Working Group, taking place from January 19th to 21st.
The event is being held on the sidelines of the highly anticipated Global Government Cloud Forum on January 21st at the Museum of the Future in Dubai.
The forum will bring together over 350 delegates, including more than 100 international government officials, 50 global speakers, and 30 leaders in government cloud technology. The event aims to reshape the future of cloud computing, focusing on its potential to drive innovation and advance the digital economy.
Key topics will include cloud technologies' impact on public administration, governance, and sustainable development. Discussions will also delve into emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Quantum Computing, Sustainable Cloud Solutions, and Cloud for Development. These align with Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, which aims to position the city as a global leader in technology and innovation.
The forum will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and case studies from global cloud computing experts. Major themes include multi-cloud strategies, data sovereignty, and the role of AI and machine learning in government. A special focus will be placed on how cloud technologies are driving the UAE’s sustainability and environmental goals.
Attendees will gain valuable insights into successful cloud implementations in government, the potential of quantum computing, and disaster recovery solutions across various sectors.
