UAE will participate in 33rd AFC General Assembly

A UAE Football Association (UAEFA) delegation will participate in the 33rd General Assembly of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), which will be held tomorrow in Manama, Bahrain.

The delegation will be headed by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the UAEFA, and will include Abdullah Nasser Al Junaibi, First Vice President of the UAEFA and President of the UAE Pro League, who is a candidate for membership in the AFC Executive Office, as well as Mohammed Abdullah Hazam Al Dhaheri, Secretary-General of the UAEFA.

The meeting’s agenda will include recommending Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the AFC, for a third term as the confederation’s head, with his term potentially being extended to 2027, in addition to electing members of the AFC’s executive office and the representatives of the Asian continent in the FIFA Council for the next electoral cycle.
