UAE's Housing Program Supports Over 1,300 Citizens in January with AED 1 Billion in Approvals
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, affirmed the UAE's ongoing commitment to improving its housing system, ensuring citizens’ needs are met swiftly and effectively.
In January, the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program issued approvals benefiting over 1,300 citizens, totaling over AED 1 billion in value. Sheikh Mohammed expressed that efforts are underway to increase the number of beneficiaries throughout the year, with a focus on addressing all pending applications.
Reflecting on the progress made in the housing sector, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted that 13,000 applications have been processed and approved in the past two years. This achievement has significantly reduced the waiting period for housing applications, which now stands at just two months, ranking among the shortest globally.
The UAE continues to prioritize family stability by enhancing housing services and integrating various housing and funding entities. Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that the long-term goal is to streamline the approval process to the point where approvals can be completed within a single day.
