WETEX 2024 to Feature Expanded Korean Participation

The 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), hosted by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), is set to showcase a significant increase in Korean participation this year.

Scheduled to take place from October 1st to 3rd at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the event will feature 49 Korean companies, highlighting their advancements in clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency, water management, and sustainability.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, emphasized the importance of this increased participation.

"The UAE and the Republic of Korea have robust economic and investment relations, with non-oil foreign trade between the nations reaching approximately US$5.3 billion last year. Korea is a major trading partner for the UAE, and this year's increased presence at WETEX reflects the growing significance of our collaboration in sustainable development,"

Al Tayer stated.

The exhibition provides a premier global platform for presenting cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions. Korean companies will showcase advancements across three pavilions, including renewable energy systems like solar and wind power, energy storage solutions, and emission-reducing technologies. In the water sector, they will feature smart technologies such as ultrasonic water flow meters, advanced water desalination and purification equipment, and AI-powered leak detection systems.

Yoo Jehseung, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the UAE, highlighted the event's value for fostering new business opportunities.

"WETEX is a crucial platform for engaging with UAE buyers and exploring new partnerships. It represents our commitment to enhancing cooperation in the water, energy, and environment sectors, supporting sustainable growth and mutual economic interests."

WETEX 2024 promises to be a key event for global industry leaders, offering ample opportunities for collaboration and technological exchange.
