The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has partnered with Hilton through a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing the city’s visibility as a global tourist destination.

This initiative aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which seeks to bolster Dubai’s status as a premier hub for business and leisure.

The MoU establishes a collaborative framework focusing on joint marketing campaigns and social media promotions to showcase Dubai's unique attractions. Seasonal tourism packages will be developed to provide visitors with authentic experiences, and Hilton Honors members, totaling over 195 million globally, will gain access to these curated offerings.

In addition, Hilton will benefit from DET’s training resources, including programs from the Dubai College of Tourism, to elevate team member skills in customer service and cultural awareness, ensuring a high standard of hospitality. The agreement was signed by His Excellency Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), and Guy Hutchinson, President of Hilton for the Middle East and Africa.

Kazim emphasized Hilton’s crucial role in Dubai's tourism growth, stating,

“This MoU will allow us to share our expertise, elevating the destination’s global visibility and service quality.” Hutchinson echoed this sentiment, noting that the partnership aims to further establish Dubai as synonymous with hospitality excellence.

Dubai’s tourism sector remains robust, welcoming 11.93 million international overnight visitors from January to August 2024, reflecting a 7.5% increase from the previous year. With an impressive average occupancy rate of 76.2%, the city continues to expand its hospitality infrastructure, further solidifying its position as a leading global destination.
