The Dubai Frame is set to undergo a significant transformation, as revealed by Ahmed Ibrahim AlZarouni, Head of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality.

"We will introduce a future of Dubai exhibition, offering visitors a glimpse into the city's appearance 50 years from now,"

he stated.

"This exhibition will be entirely distinct from what visitors have experienced at the attraction thus far."

This announcement was made by Dubai Municipality during the Arabian Travel Mart (ATM) commencing on Monday. Situated within Zabeel Park, the Dubai Frame stands tall at 150 meters, providing panoramic views of the emirate's landscape. One side showcases the city's historical past, while the other presents its contemporary, glitzy allure.

The Mezzanine floor

The Mezzanine floor of the Dubai Frame attraction hosts an exhibition tracing the emirate's evolution from a small fishing village to the bustling commercial center it is today. This floor will also feature the future of the Dubai exhibition, promising to enhance the attraction significantly. Ahmed expressed,

"It will offer a truly unique experience, fully interactive and showcasing the emirate's projected future 50 years from now, aligned with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's visionary outlook."

According to sources, the future exhibition will include immersive audiovisual presentations and effects, further enriching the visitor experience.

Timeline

According to Ahmed, renovations on the Dubai Frame will commence shortly, with construction set to begin soon. During this period, visitors will be rerouted, as the attraction undergoes a comprehensive renovation aimed at enhancing the overall visitor experience. The renovation work is projected to be completed by the last quarter of next year, with plans for the attraction to reopen to the public shortly thereafter.

Currently, the Dubai Frame offers visitors a distinctive experience, with a state-of-the-art elevator transporting them to the top of the frame, where they can walk along the glass walkway connecting the two towers. Ahmed assured that despite the renovation, most parts of the attraction will remain accessible to the public. However, a portion of the mezzanine floor will be closed off to facilitate the renovation process.

In the previous year, the Dubai Frame welcomed over 1.6 million visitors, and Dubai Municipality anticipates a significant increase in visitor numbers following the completion of the revamp.
