Dubai Health has announced a strategic partnership with the Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., aimed at revolutionizing pediatric healthcare.
This collaboration, which has been in development for over eight years, focuses on enhancing healthcare quality for children through technology and specialized training.
The partnership was solidified during a recent visit led by Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health, to the Children’s National Hospital, where discussions included advanced systems development and improved access to pediatric care. This expansion will introduce innovations like remote patient monitoring and specialized training programs for medical professionals at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, beginning next year.
Michelle Riley-Brown, President and CEO of Children's National Hospital, emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating,
“This collaboration is about building sustainable, innovative solutions that will improve health outcomes for children, both in the UAE and globally.”
Dr. Amer Sharif expressed gratitude for the UAE government's support in fostering global collaborations, noting that the partnership aligns with the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and reinforces the city’s position as a leader in healthcare and medical education.
Dr. Mohammed Al Awadhi, Deputy CEO of Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, highlighted that this partnership will elevate the standard of care for children in Dubai, focusing on operational efficiency and leadership training.
The alliance builds on previous agreements, including a 2018 health IT partnership and a 2022 education agreement, which have significantly improved Al Jalila Children's Hospital's clinical capabilities. This renewed collaboration signals a commitment to delivering the highest quality of pediatric care in the region.
