Get ready for an action-packed journey as Dubai Sports Council has just announced the launch of the "Football Talent Development Centers in Dubai Clubs" for young athletes aged 12 to 17. This incredible initiative is set to discover and nurture the brightest sports talents, in alignment with the Dubai Government's unwavering support for budding stars across various domains.

Following an intense round of tryouts from 27th to 30th May 2024, a total of 75 exceptionally gifted players have been handpicked, with the potential to welcome even more extraordinary talent. These players were allocated to three training centers based on their age categories.

Players aged 12 to 13 will undergo rigorous training at the Talents Development Center in Al-Wasl Club, while those aged 14 to 15 will hone their skills at the Shabab Al-Ahli Club Center. On the other hand, players aged 16 to 17 will experience top-notch training at the Al-Nasr Club Center.

But the excitement doesn't end there! The tryouts will continue throughout the upcoming sports season, ensuring that only the crème de la crème secure a spot in the talent development centers. This will involve engaging camps with intensive training sessions, exhilarating matches, expert lectures, and grueling physical training, all supervised by technical managers from various academies in tandem with public and private sector partners.

Mr. Ahmed Al-Dalil Al-Rumaithi, Al-Nasr Football Academy’s Manager, expressed his gratitude towards DSC, participating clubs, and technical supervisors for their efforts in launching this fruitful initiative. He emphasized the significance of identifying outstanding players, recruiting them into the first team, and supplying national teams with the best talents.

Mr. Hisham Poumbar, Technical Manager of Hatta Football Academy, explained that the sports talents gathering program comprises various training sessions, including playing in tight spaces and under pressure to assess the speed of players’ reactions. The program also includes physical tryouts conducted under the supervision of the Sportify Academy. Mr. Hisham emphasized that participation in joint training sessions helps players accelerate their development and improvement

.Mr. Wael Al-Sisi, the Technical Manager of Shabab Al-Ahli Academy, stated that the talents training center program for the age category from 14 to 15 years aims to achieve clear goals in developing players in different playing positions. The program focuses on individual training, developing players' levels, and creating a profile for each player. The program also addresses players' performance development needs periodically.

Dr. Sajad Karami, Director of Sportify Physical Measurements Academy, expressed gratitude for the initiation of the sports talents development centers. The academy conducted physical tryouts and readiness tests for players, aiming to identify their strengths and weaknesses. Dr. Sajad expressed optimism regarding the future results of these players.

Mr. Patrick Houdrick, Technical Manager of Al Wasl Football Academy, highlighted the success of training sessions for the 12 to 13-year-old talents. He mentioned that technical classification of players and increased challenges have encouraged them to deliver exceptional performances. He underscored the importance of organizing similar gatherings in the next sports season.
