Neelkanth Cables, a leading Zambian manufacturer, inaugurated its AED 130 million state-of-the-art facility at Dubai Industrial City, part of the Make it in the Emirates initiative.

The factory spans 503,000 sq.ft. and will employ 200 workers. His Excellency Omar Al Suwaidi highlighted the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology's support for industrial advancement and investment attractiveness, urging investors to explore opportunities at the Make it in the Emirates Forum on May 27-28. The forum aims to drive technological transformation, innovation, and competitiveness, unlocking significant investment opportunities.

Saud Abu Alshawareb of TECOM Group highlights Neelkanth Cables' economic impact and alignment with Dubai's industrial vision. Neelkanth's COO, Sanjeev Dubey, underscores commitment to local growth, citing Dubai Industrial City's strategic location and support services. The facility will produce low- and medium-voltage cables, integrating advanced technologies for efficiency. Neelkanth aims to serve various industries across the UAE, GCC, South Asia, and Africa while adhering to international quality and safety standards.

Neelkanth Cables joins a community of more than 1,000 local, regional, and international customers, in addition to over 300 operational factories at Dubai Industrial City, the region’s leading manufacturing and logistics hub that will showcase homegrown excellence from its ecosystem at the upcoming Make it in the Emirates Forum.

Launched in 2004, Dubai Industrial City is located close to Al Maktoum International Airport, Jebel Ali Port, an Etihad Rail freight terminal, and critical regional road networks and offers specialised infrastructure, including industrial land, storage, and logistics spaces across a sector-specific masterplan with dedicated zones for the base metals, machinery, minerals, F&B, transport, and chemical industries, helping to minimise waste and enable resource-sharing.
