The 1 Billion Followers Summit has announced that over 10,000 content creators from 190 countries have applied for the prestigious One Billion Award in just ten days.
This million-dollar accolade, the largest and most valuable award for content creators globally, celebrates excellence in impactful, positive content creation.
Encouraging creators to inspire purposeful change, the award seeks applications until November 30, 2024, via the Summit’s website (www.1billionsummit.com). Third-party nominations are also accepted. The winner will be unveiled during the Summit’s closing ceremony, themed “Content for Good,” scheduled for January 13, 2025.
Alia AlHammadi, CEO of the New Media Academy, emphasized the award's role in fostering meaningful digital content.
"We aim to support global talent and empower creators to shape a positive digital landscape,"
she said.
Applicants are evaluated on content that promotes unity, sustainability, compassion, and innovation, adhering to social media standards. Ten finalists will be selected by a judging panel from December 1 to 15, with public voting open from December 16 to 31. The winner will be announced during the Summit, which runs from January 11 to 13, 2025.
The 2025 Summit introduces specialized tracks in technology, economy, and content, offering tailored experiences for creators. With a mission to reach over a billion people worldwide, the event brings together leading influencers to explore how new media can drive societal change and sustainable economic growth.
