Dubai hosted a compelling session titled "How to Monetise and Market on Roblox" at the 1 Billion Followers Summit, offering actionable insights for content creators to thrive on one of the world’s fastest-growing gaming platforms.
The summit, organized by the UAE Government Media Office, runs from January 11 to 13 across Emirates Towers, DIFC, and the Museum of the Future under the theme "Content for Good."
The session, moderated by gaming expert and influencer Taha Pakman, featured Zach Letter, CEO of Wonder World Studios, and Aliana Miller, Director of Influencer Marketing at Roblox. Together, they explored the untapped potential within the Roblox ecosystem and its lucrative monetization avenues.
Zach Letter shared how he transformed his YouTube channel into a thriving game development studio alongside his wife, Megan Letter, known as "MeganPlays." Their studio’s games, including a hit that achieved two million downloads in two weeks, have generated millions in revenue. Letter emphasized Roblox's growth potential, noting plans to expand its gaming and entertainment tools over the next five years.
“Roblox’s algorithms empower creators to build profitable digital empires,”
he said.
Aliana Miller highlighted Roblox's strategic partnerships with content creators to drive engagement and market expansion. She explained how revenue-sharing models and collaborations foster a dynamic community, adding,
“Roblox is not just a gaming platform; it’s a creation system that enables users to design and share games. Content creators are integral to our ecosystem.”
With over 15,000 creators, 420 speakers, and 125 global experts in attendance, the summit underscored the growing influence of the creator economy. The session on Roblox offered a clear blueprint for creators to monetize their passion while building engaged communities.
