The 1 Billion Followers Summit, the world's largest event of its kind, has announced the success of its "1 Billion Pitches" competition, which garnered 500 submissions from 40 countries.
These entries span diverse fields, including education, technology, women empowerment, healthcare, and entrepreneurship, underscoring a global commitment to innovation and positive societal impact.
The competition, part of the Summit’s 3rd edition organized by the New Media Academy, is set to take place from January 11-13, 2025, under the theme "Content for Good." Drawing 250 startups and numerous content creators, it offers participants the chance to pitch their ideas live to investors and industry leaders, aiming for critical support and funding opportunities.
Alia Al Hammadi, CEO of the New Media Academy, emphasized the competition's role in empowering creators and startups, enabling them to turn their ideas into impactful ventures.
“The 1B Pitches competition reflects our commitment to nurturing talent and driving innovation in the digital sphere,”
she stated.
A panel of experts will evaluate submissions based on criteria such as innovation, scalability, and market potential. The top 25 entrants will join a mentorship program designed to refine their pitches, with the competition culminating in a final showdown where two finalists will compete for top honors.
Attracting over 10,000 webpage visitors, the 1 Billion Followers Summit continues to unite global creators and influencers, showcasing how digital media can drive sustainable development and fuel economies worldwide.
