The 1 Billion Followers Summit, the world’s largest gathering of content creators, has announced an extension for its ‘1 Billion Pitches’ competition, with the new submission deadline set for October 5, 2024.

This pioneering programme offers startups and entrepreneurs a unique platform to pitch innovative ideas for the content industry to a prestigious panel of investors and international experts.

Winners of the competition will receive vital support, including funding and resources, to advance their business ideas. The deadline extension comes in response to high demand from startups and content creators, providing more opportunities for those keen to showcase their creativity.

The competition, a highlight of the third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, will take place in Dubai from January 11 to 13, 2025, under the theme "Content for Good." Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a registered business to participate. Submissions are open on the Summit’s official website, with a rigorous evaluation process to follow, focusing on innovation, market potential, and scalability.

Selected candidates will participate in a mentorship programme aimed at refining their pitches. The competition will feature three stages, starting with 25 applicants, narrowing to 10, and culminating in a final round between two finalists competing for top prizes, including funding and strategic partnerships.

The 1 Billion Followers Summit aims to inspire a billion-strong audience by exploring how the content industry can drive national economies and support global sustainable development goals.
