The 12th Sikka Art & Design Festival just ended in Dubai, and it was a big deal. Lots of people came to see the art and enjoy the festivities. It's an important event for art in the area, and it shows how much people care about culture and creativity in Dubai. Over 162,000 visitors came to see the artworks and take part in the fun activities over the 10 days of the festival.

Fatma AlHelo, who managed the festival, said it's a crucial part of the local art scene. She was happy with how successful it was and thanked everyone who helped make it happen, especially the volunteers.

This year, more than 500 artists from the UAE, GCC, and around the world took part, showing off around 300 artworks across 14 houses. Each venue had different types of art, like installations, sculptures, and digital works, all following the theme 'New Creativity, Same Path.' There were also eight big paintings on the walls of the neighborhood, each showing something special about Dubai.

The festival had lots of other things going on, too, like discussions with artists, music performances, and workshops where people could learn new skills. One highlight was the 'Culinary House,' where visitors could try out different foods and attend cooking workshops.

The festival also gave a platform to Emirati and UAE-based designers to show off their work. Some artists got creative with traditional sayings and henna designs, while others took inspiration from Dubai's history and culture.

Overall, the festival was a huge success, bringing together artists, performers, and visitors to celebrate art and culture in Dubai.
