7X Partners with Urbi to Enhance Logistics with Advanced GIS Technology

7X has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Urbi, a leading geo-intelligence company, to utilize Urbi’s Geographic Information System (GIS) technology solutions.

The agreement was formalized during GITEX Global 2024, a premier technology exhibition.

The MoU, signed by Abdulla Mohammed Alashram, Group CEO of 7X, and Alexander Sysoev, Chairman of Urbi, underscores a shared commitment to improving delivery operations and fostering innovation in technology-driven logistics solutions. This partnership will see Urbi provide technological support across 7X and its subsidiaries, including Emirates Post.

Key initiatives under this agreement include integrating Urbi’s state-of-the-art mapping and geospatial technologies into 7X’s operations, paving the way for a comprehensive ‘Base Map’ enriched with detailed residential and business listings. This will also involve the development of APIs for geocoding and reverse geocoding, enabling precise customer location identification for accurate deliveries.

With a focus on enhancing efficiency, the partnership aims to optimize routes using Urbi’s real-time data, thereby reducing delivery times and operational costs.

“We are pleased to collaborate with Urbi to enhance logistics operations,”

said Alashram.

“By integrating advanced GIS technology, we aim to improve efficiency and set a new benchmark for customer experience in the evolving digital landscape.”

Sysoev expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing that it exemplifies the synergy between geospatial technology and logistics solutions.

“This partnership will not only enhance 7X’s operational capabilities but also set a new standard for delivery efficiency in the region.”

As GIS technologies continue to revolutionize the logistics sector, 7X is committed to leveraging strategic partnerships to meet the evolving demands of the market.
