Dubai's Mohammed Bin Rashid Arabic Language Award, under the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, has launched its 9th edition.
Organized by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library (MBRL), the award reflects the UAE’s commitment to advancing the Arabic language and preserving Arab cultural heritage.
Launched under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the award has become a prestigious platform honoring individuals and institutions contributing to Arabic through innovation in education, research, and publishing.
Bilal Al Budoor, Secretary General of the award, emphasized its global stature, noting its role in positioning Arabic as a language of modern science and knowledge.
“The 8th edition achieved remarkable success in empowering the Arabic language on a global scale, and we anticipate even greater accomplishments in the 9th edition,”
he stated.
The award invites submissions from individuals and organizations worldwide, focusing on projects that enhance Arabic’s role in education, technology, and publishing. Entries must align with contemporary needs and showcase innovative solutions for advancing Arabic in digital and educational platforms.
Submissions, limited to one per entrant, must be made online by 14 March 2025. Strict guidelines ensure adherence to intellectual property rights and fair participation, with judging panel members prohibited from entry.
This initiative underscores the UAE’s leadership in promoting the Arabic language’s global influence, cementing its status as a cornerstone of cultural and intellectual development.
