ALAS Emirates Ready Mix has announced plans to develop a major new ready mix concrete facility at Dubai Industrial City, reinforcing its expansion strategy in the UAE and strengthening support for the country’s fast growing construction sector.
The project signals increased industrial investment aligned with national economic and manufacturing ambitions.
The agreement with Dubai Industrial City, part of TECOM Group PJSC, will see the construction of a 160,000 square foot facility within the manufacturing and logistics hub. Once operational, the plant will enhance ALAS Emirates Ready Mix’s capacity to serve infrastructure and development projects across the UAE.
A groundbreaking ceremony was attended by senior industry leaders, including Saud Abu Alshawareb of TECOM Group, Saif Mubarak Fadel Al Mazrouei of Bin Fadel Holding, and Petr Celis, CEO of the ALAS Construction Materials Division, alongside representatives from the construction sector.
The facility will feature advanced administrative and operational infrastructure as well as state of the art batching plants designed to reduce power consumption and improve efficiency. Construction is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2026, with operations expected to begin the same period. The plant is projected to achieve a production capacity of up to 400 cubic metres of ready mix concrete per hour.
Officials said the development supports national initiatives aimed at boosting industrial growth and sustainable construction practices. The project aligns with broader economic strategies focused on strengthening local manufacturing capabilities while advancing environmentally responsible building solutions.
Established in 2004, Dubai Industrial City hosts more than 1,100 customers and over 350 operational factories, benefiting from proximity to Jebel Ali Port, Al Maktoum International Airport, and an Etihad Rail freight terminal, positioning it as a key regional logistics and manufacturing hub.
