The 7th edition of the AccessAbilities Expo opened in Dubai, bringing together 270 exhibitors from 50 countries to highlight the latest innovations supporting People of Determination.
Expected to attract over 15,000 visitors, the event underscores the UAE’s commitment to inclusion and accessibility in line with the Dubai Strategic Plan 2033.
As the largest exhibition of its kind across the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia, AccessAbilities Expo 2025 serves as a global platform promoting assistive technologies and inclusive solutions. The exhibition features advancements addressing a wide range of physical, visual, auditory, and intellectual disabilities.
During the opening, officials toured local and international pavilions showcasing new technologies designed to enhance independence and quality of life. Exhibitors presented a range of innovations including AI-powered smart glasses offering real-time translation, advanced bionic limbs replicating natural movement, and digital platforms linking People of Determination to transport and communication services.
Government departments and private organisations also highlighted initiatives supporting accessibility in public spaces, healthcare, and education.
With the World Health Organisation estimating that only one in ten people who need assistive technology currently have access to it, the Expo reflects the UAE’s growing role in advancing inclusive development and promoting equitable access to opportunities worldwide.
