H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Emirates Airline, and Dubai Airports, inaugurated the 6th AccessAbilities Expo at the Dubai World Trade Centre, emphasizing the UAE's commitment to empowering People of Determination. The event, which runs from October 7-9, 2024, features over 250 global exhibitors and calls for enhanced social inclusion policies and innovative rehabilitative technologies to improve independent living for People of Determination.

His Highness highlighted the UAE's progress in creating equal opportunities, supported by private sector efforts. He also acknowledged the country’s position as a global leader in assistive technologies, serving the 1.3 billion People of Determination worldwide.

The Expo showcases products aimed at improving the quality of life for over 50 million People of Determination in the region. Several key figures, including Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Saeed Al Tayer of DEWA, and Major General Abdullah Al Marri of Dubai Police, emphasized their respective organizations' roles in fostering inclusivity through technology and services.

Hessa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority, launched initiatives addressing mental health and entrepreneurship for People of Determination, aligning with World Mental Health Day. The Expo offers a platform for dialogue on innovative solutions and challenges faced by People of Determination, enhancing Dubai’s reputation as a hub for accessibility and inclusive growth.
