In a significant step towards fostering community development, Al Furjan Fund has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) to support social initiatives aligned with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The agreement, themed ‘Family: The Foundation of Our Nation,’ aims to finance projects that enhance the quality of life for citizens and residents of Dubai.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA, and HE Ahmed Al Bedwawi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al Furjan Fund. The partnership reflects both organizations' commitment to promoting social sustainability and community engagement within Dubai’s residential neighborhoods.

stated Dr. Al Akraf.
“This collaboration marks a pivotal step in promoting projects that benefit Emirati citizens and support the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033.”
Al Bedwawi echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of strategic partnerships in raising the quality of life for Emiratis. He highlighted that the agreement facilitates innovative projects that foster community support and engagement.
The initiatives supported by this partnership will encompass educational programs, recreational activities, and community sports projects, all designed to promote well-being and connectivity among residents. As part of the broader vision, DEWA will also direct investment towards key social and cultural issues, enhancing the overall quality of life in Dubai.
Founded under the directives of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Al Furjan Fund has already sponsored various community initiatives, demonstrating a strong commitment to improving the lives of Dubai’s citizens.
