Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor has boosted Dubai’s Real Estate Developers’ Endowment initiative with a new donation aimed at supporting long term humanitarian programmes across the UAE.

The Founder and Chairman of Al Habtoor Group dedicated five residential units within Al Habtoor City as a sustainable charitable endowment under the initiative launched by the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy in partnership with Dubai Land Department. The units will be managed and operated by Al Habtoor Group, with all proceeds directed to health and education programmes and to supporting vulnerable groups including orphans, widows, people of determination, and other humanitarian cases.

Al Habtoor said the contribution reflects the UAE’s enduring culture of giving and reinforces the private sector’s responsibility to support the community. He noted that endowment remains one of the most effective ways to deliver continuous charitable impact.

Essa Al Ghurair, Chairman of Awqaf Dubai, praised the donation as a leading example of institutional philanthropy and a clear commitment to community focused initiatives. Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary General of Awqaf Dubai, said the initiative embodies the UAE’s deeply rooted values and highlights the constructive partnership between the public and private sectors in supporting vital social areas.

Zainab Juma Al Tamimi, Director of the MBRGCEC, added that Al Habtoor’s contribution offers a sustainable model that ensures long term support for charitable programmes. She noted that the initiative encourages the real estate sector to develop innovative endowment mechanisms that address community needs.

The Real Estate Developers’ Endowment initiative continues to attract contributions from developers and business leaders, reflecting the UAE’s broader vision to strengthen collaboration and promote a culture of giving across all sectors.
