Under the patronage and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Supreme Organising Committee of the Al Salam Cycling Championship has announced the 10th edition of the world’s largest community cycling race in terms of diversity and prize value.
Organised by The Private Office of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai, the milestone event celebrates a decade of achievements promoting sports, community engagement, and healthy living.
Chaired by His Excellency Omair bin Juma Al Falasi, Director General of The Private Office of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai, the committee approved the schedule for four main races: the UAE Nationals Amateur Race on 28 December 2025, the Elite Race on 18 January 2026, the Women’s Race on 25 January 2026, and the Desert Race on 1 February 2026. All races will take place within Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve, the UAE’s largest nature reserve.
Held under the slogan ‘Ten Years of Achievements and Success’, the championship has grown into one of Dubai’s most anticipated community events, attracting thousands of cyclists from around the world. It has also become a symbol of inclusion, with dedicated races for women and initiatives that highlight their role in sports and society.
His Excellency Al Falasi expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his unwavering support, noting that the championship’s legacy extends beyond competition to inspire an active, healthy lifestyle.
Over the years, the event has partnered with key national institutions, including the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre and Dubai Police, and introduced initiatives like sports photography competitions and special races celebrating Expo 2020 Dubai. The upcoming edition promises new surprises, continuing to enhance Dubai’s position as a global hub for community sports.
