Amarak Chemicals FZC has commenced operations at a fully automated sulphur manufacturing facility in Jebel Ali Free Zone, strengthening the availability of sulphur-based agricultural products and reinforcing Dubai’s role as a global hub for industrial and agribusiness manufacturing.
The new plant, an associate venture of Aries Group of Companies, has an annual production capacity of up to 60,000 metric tonnes of sulphur bentonite and other sulphur-allied products. Designed with advanced digital process controls, the facility aims to enhance productivity, operational precision, and worker safety while serving agricultural markets worldwide.
The facility was inaugurated by Shri B. G. Krishnan, Consul (Economic, Trade & Commerce), Consulate General of India, Dubai, in the presence of Saoud AlAwadhi, Director of Sales at Jafza, along with members of the Aries Group’s board. Customers from seven countries attended the launch and expressed interest in long-term supply agreements, highlighting rising global demand for soil health and crop productivity solutions.
Abdulla Al Hashmi, COO, Parks & Zones, DP World GCC, said the project enhances Jafza’s growing chemicals and agribusiness ecosystem and supports stronger regional and international food supply chains.
Amarak currently exports to more than 18 countries, including Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand. The Jafza facility further improves its ability to meet demand through reliable, cost-efficient logistics and duty-free exports to India under the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
