AmSpec Group has expanded its Middle East presence with the opening of a new Agri and Food laboratory in Dubai, a move aimed at supporting the UAE’s fast-growing agricultural and food sectors as regulatory and food safety demands continue to rise.
Located in Dubai Science Park, the region’s leading science-focused hub under TECOM Group PJSC, the facility enhances access to advanced inspection and testing services for agricultural commodities, animal feed, and food and beverage products. The new laboratory is designed to strengthen food safety standards, quality assurance, and supply chain transparency across the UAE and the wider region.
The laboratory operates around the clock and is staffed by more than 30 analysts and technical specialists. It is equipped with advanced analytical technologies capable of testing for pesticide residues, mycotoxins, drug and antibiotic residues, heavy metals, and genetic and molecular markers for transgenics and biological contaminants.
Valentin Rossel, Executive Vice President of AmSpec’s Agri and Food Division, said the Dubai laboratory marks a significant milestone in the company’s long-term regional strategy. He noted that rising global expectations for precision testing and transparent certification made local access to high-quality services increasingly essential.
Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park, said the addition of AmSpec strengthens critical food and agricultural value chains while supporting national food security objectives. He added that the laboratory aligns with Dubai’s broader economic and innovation goals under the D33 agenda and We the UAE 2031.
The new facility further reinforces AmSpec’s global expansion strategy while positioning Dubai as a key hub for scientific innovation, trade, and regulatory excellence in the agri-food sector.
