Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and New Media Academy Sign MoU to Strengthen Cooperation
In a significant step toward bridging diplomacy and digital media, the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) and the New Media Academy, the first of its kind in the Middle East, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation and knowledge exchange.
The MoU, which outlines joint initiatives and collaboration in areas of mutual interest, was signed during the third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, the world’s largest event dedicated to the content creator economy.
Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director-General of AGDA, and Hussein Al Atoli, Director of the New Media Academy, formalized the agreement in the presence of key representatives from both institutions. The MoU covers a wide range of areas, including the exchange of research, collaboration on training initiatives, and mutual expertise sharing on projects.
Dr. Al Dhaheri emphasized the importance of this partnership in preparing a new generation of diplomats equipped with both traditional diplomatic skills and the capabilities needed in the digital age. He noted that the collaboration with the New Media Academy would foster an innovative learning environment combining diplomacy with modern media strategies to benefit the UAE's diplomatic efforts globally.
Alia AlHammadi, CEO of the New Media Academy, expressed the Academy’s commitment to aligning with global digital trends. She highlighted the importance of preparing creative media talents who can effectively communicate the UAE’s vision to the world, while also enhancing the diplomatic work with the latest in digital media innovations.
The MoU marks a pivotal moment in aligning digital media with diplomatic strategies, ensuring that future diplomats are well-versed in the rapidly evolving media landscape.
