Apple has unveiled a significantly upgraded version of its voice assistant at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in Cupertino, introducing Siri AI with deeper web integration, conversational memory, and a dedicated standalone application.

The revamped assistant can pull richer information from the internet in response to user queries and draw on previous conversations to surface relevant details, such as an address shared in a message, without requiring the user to have saved it manually.

Apple also announced a new voice experience for Siri AI, designed to make the assistant sound more expressive and responsive. The software will be available on iPads initially, with development ongoing for Apple Watch compatibility.

Searches and images generated through Siri AI will be stored within the new standalone app, available across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The software connects directly to Apple's private cloud computing infrastructure, positioning it within the company's broader privacy framework.

The rollout will begin in English, with additional language support to follow at a date yet to be confirmed. Apple noted that Siri AI will not be available to iPhone and iPad users in the European Union or China at launch, as the company awaits the completion of regulatory procedures in both markets.
