Apple is reportedly making a MagSafe battery for the iPhone 12. The technology company have spent the past year working on a magnetic battery pack that will wirelessly connect to an iPhone 12 using the company's MagSafe system, according to Bloomberg.
Apple first began using MagSafe batteries with the launch of their MacBooks, where the power cord auto-attached and easily popped off. The new charger is expected to be able to snap onto the back of the iPhone 12, such as cases, chargers, mounts and a wallet.
However, the new battery reportedly only provides additional charge, and not include a full protective case like previous iPhone battery add-ons.
