Dubai is hosting the 17th edition of Arab Plast 2025, reaffirming the UAE's strategic role as a gateway for international companies to access regional and global markets.
Running until 9th January, the event has attracted over 750 companies, showcasing the latest innovations and sustainable solutions in the plastics sector.
Exhibition officials and pavilion representatives highlighted the UAE's significance as a hub for expanding into Middle Eastern and African markets. Nidal Mohammed Kadar, Arab Plast Exhibition Manager, emphasized the event’s focus on sustainability and recycling, encouraging global companies to adopt environmentally friendly practices.
Kadar praised the UAE’s role as a global exhibition hub, noting Dubai’s ideal commercial environment for fostering growth and partnerships.
“Arab Plast is more than just an exhibition; it’s a platform for collaboration and sustainable growth in the industry,”
he said.
International participation was notable, with nearly 70 German companies represented in the German pavilion. Florian Mikolasch, Head of the German pavilion, highlighted the UAE's strong trade relations with Germany, which is the second-largest supplier of advanced machinery to the region. Italian companies also underscored their interest, with Marika Maj of the Italian pavilion describing the UAE as a vital platform for regional expansion.
Farah Abdul Hamed, Media Director of Arab Plast, reiterated Dubai’s strategic location and excellence in hosting global exhibitions, making the event a key meeting point for industry leaders to forge partnerships and seize new opportunities.
Arab Plast 2025 continues to serve as a beacon for innovation, sustainability, and cross-border collaboration in the plastics and petrochemical industries.
