H.H. Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated, inaugurated the highly anticipated "Arabplast 2025" exhibition at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on Tuesday.
This premier event is the largest exhibition for plastics, petrochemicals, rubber, and sustainable industries in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The exhibition, now in its 17th edition, features 12 international pavilions from countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Italy, China, and India. During his visit, Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum toured the exhibition floor, exploring cutting-edge technologies that support the development of the plastics and petrochemical industries. He received detailed insights into industry advancements from representatives of leading companies across Gulf, Arab, and European nations.
Sheikh Hasher emphasized the exhibition's role in affirming Dubai's global position as a hub for major exhibitions and industrial partnerships.
"Arabplast 2025 reinforces Dubai's strategic role in facilitating the growth of industrial sectors through technology and global collaboration,"
he said.
The event highlights the increasing significance of petrochemical, plastic, and rubber industries as key economic drivers. Additionally, the exhibition’s focus on sustainability practices, eco-friendly technologies, and circular economy initiatives aligns with global efforts to reduce environmental impact.
Over 750 exhibitors from 35 countries are participating in Arabplast 2025, which runs until January 9. Nidal Mohammed Kadar, exhibition manager, highlighted the importance of petrochemicals in various everyday products and their role as a major factor driving global oil demand.
