Autoworld International FZCO, the regional distributor for India’s Bajaj Auto Ltd, is investing AED 45 million in a new logistics and distribution hub in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), aiming to bolster its reach across Africa and the Middle East.

The 162,000 sq. ft facility will include an assembly plant for Bajaj motorcycles and three-wheelers, as well as dedicated storage for spare parts, tyres, and lubricants. Slated for completion by 2026, the hub is expected to enhance Autoworld’s operational capacity and support new product partnerships.

As demand for affordable, fuel-efficient vehicles surges in emerging markets—particularly in Africa, where the two-wheeler market is growing at nearly 5% annually—Autoworld’s investment positions it to better serve high-growth regions.

“This facility marks a major step forward in our growth strategy,”

said Vishal Kumar Lakhani, Director at Autoworld.

“Jafza’s infrastructure has been crucial to our expansion across Africa and the GCC since 2008.”

DP World, which operates Jafza, welcomed the move as a boost to Dubai’s automotive logistics ecosystem.

“Autoworld’s expansion highlights the strength of Jafza’s trade network, which supported AED 102 billion in automotive trade last year,”

said Abdulla Al Hashmi, COO of Parks and Zones, DP World GCC.

The project is expected to generate over 100 direct and indirect jobs, supporting Dubai’s ambition to become a global hub for mobility, logistics, and automotive trade.
