The Endowment and Minors' Trust Foundation in Dubai, known as Awqaf Dubai, posted robust investment gains in the first half of 2026, with its securities portfolio recording notable growth in value and returns while consistently outperforming its targets.
The cost value of the foundation's securities investment portfolio climbed to approximately AED1.398 billion by the end of H1 2026, up from AED1.199 billion in the same period last year, marking a 16.6 percent increase. The portfolio's market value also rose to AED1.475 billion, an increase of AED76.5 million or 5.5 percent, reflecting effective management of its financial assets.
As part of its broader investment expansion strategy, Awqaf Dubai made new investments worth AED285.11 million during the first half of the year, compared to AED113.75 million during the same period in 2025, a jump of 150.65 percent.
The portfolio generated total returns of AED51.6 million, comprising AED34.9 million in recurring investment income and AED16.7 million in non-recurring gains. Recurring returns alone grew 25 percent year on year, rising from AED27.9 million, highlighting the sustainability of the foundation's operations.
Ali Mohammed Al Mutawa, Secretary General of Awqaf Dubai, attributed the results to a balanced investment strategy built on disciplined execution and prudent risk management. He said the foundation remains focused on low-risk investments that preserve capital while generating sustainable returns.
Dr. Ahmad Al Yassi, Director of the Investment Department, said the performance reflects confidence in financial markets and the strength of the UAE economy. He noted that Awqaf Dubai continues to diversify its investment portfolios to grow endowment assets and manage minors' funds, reinforcing Dubai's standing as a global model for endowment and trust management.
