Educational endowment assets managed by Endowment and Minors’ Trust Foundation have climbed to AED718 million in 2026, marking a sharp 52 percent increase year-on-year and underscoring growing momentum in funding education for underprivileged students.

The portfolio spans 52 endowments, including 24 real estate assets worth AED663 million such as buildings, villas, and retail units, alongside 28 financial investments valued at AED55 million in bonds and shares.

Proceeds from these endowments are channelled into educational support programmes in partnership with 45 institutions. In 2025 alone, around 3,100 students across public schools and universities in the UAE and abroad benefited from scholarships and resources, with total funding reaching AED5.9 million.

Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of Awqaf Dubai, said educational endowments remain a critical pillar in enabling students from low-income families to pursue academic goals. He noted that the strong growth reflects sustained efforts to expand support and ensure the long-term sustainability of educational initiatives.

Al Mutawa added that the foundation is focused on growing its endowment portfolio while increasing the number of beneficiaries, reinforcing its broader social impact. He also highlighted the role of endowments in equipping students for future careers and contributing to a progressive and sustainable society.

He commended donors and philanthropists for their contributions, emphasising that investment in education continues to play a key role in shaping the UAE’s future.
