The Endowment and Minors’ Trust Foundation in Dubai, known as Awqaf Dubai, has signed long-term investment agreements worth AED200 million with several real estate development companies to build new endowment projects aimed at supporting the emirate’s mosques.

The developments will be located in the areas of Al Aweer and Wadi Al Amardi and will feature integrated commercial complexes designed to generate sustainable income. Under the agreements, the participating developers will manage the investments for a 20-year period. The projects are expected to deliver an annual return of about 10 percent, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting mosques across Dubai.

Ali Al Mutawa said the agreements form part of Awqaf Dubai’s strategy to strengthen the emirate’s real estate endowment system and ensure stable funding for mosques. He noted that the foundation is committed to partnering with developers that follow best investment practices to secure reliable and sustainable returns.

Al Mutawa added that the initiative reflects Awqaf Dubai’s broader effort to expand the base of real estate endowments in Dubai while strengthening collaboration with the private sector. By integrating endowment work with strategic investment, the foundation aims to maintain long-term financial resources that support both religious facilities and community services.

He also emphasised that the projects represent part of Awqaf Dubai’s ongoing push to develop innovative endowment models. These initiatives combine investment with community development, helping promote a stronger culture of endowment while delivering measurable economic and social impact across the emirate.
