"Ayal Al-Freej" Initiative Engages Over 2,000 Children in Mosques During Ramadan
The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai continues to foster community engagement and Islamic values through the "Ayal Al-Freej" initiative. In the first week of Ramadan, more than 2,000 children participated across 195 mosques in Dubai, reinforcing their connection with places of worship.
To accommodate growing interest, IACAD expanded the number of accredited mosques and distributed over 1,200 motivational vouchers to young participants, encouraging regular prayer and active engagement.
Mohammed Musabeh Ali Dhahi, Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector and General Coordinator of Ramadan Initiatives in Dubai, emphasized that the initiative embodies the core values of Emirati society, fostering a stronger bond between children and mosques through engaging and community-focused programs.
"The overwhelming participation highlights the importance of such initiatives in establishing prayer as a daily habit and reinforcing religious and social values among the younger generation,"
Dhahi stated.
The "Ayal Al-Freej" initiative aligns with IACAD’s vision of strengthening community ties by transforming mosques into educational and social hubs within neighborhoods. By providing resources and coordinating efforts, IACAD aims to maximize the program’s benefits for children and families, ensuring long-term engagement with Islamic teachings and ethical values.
