Bain & Company and WGS Unveil AI-Powered Sustainability Readiness Tool
Bain & Company, in partnership with the World Governments Summit (WGS), has launched the Sustainability Readiness Tool—an AI-powered solution designed to help organisations assess and enhance their sustainability strategies.
The tool builds on Bain’s research, including last year’s LEAD report, which explored sustainability integration in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). While nearly 70% of organisations in MENA claim to incorporate sustainability, only 3% are on track to meet their goals, highlighting the need for strategic interventions.
“The Sustainability Readiness Tool provides organisations with a structured approach to align with global best practices. As sustainability challenges intensify, decisive action is crucial,”
said Samer Bohsali, Senior Partner at Bain & Company.
Built on Bain’s LEAD Framework, the tool assesses four key aspects of sustainability leadership: linking ambitions to corporate strategy, engaging cross-functional teams, activating achievable sustainability missions, and driving innovation.
Comprising 27 questions, the tool delivers a benchmarking analysis against industry leaders such as Emirates NBD, FAB, Taqa, and Acwa Power. Organisations receive actionable recommendations to integrate sustainability into their operations, ensuring alignment with global benchmarks and regulatory expectations.
“Sustainability is a priority, yet many lack a clear roadmap. This tool bridges that gap by offering insights and benchmarking capabilities,”
noted Wissam Yassine, Partner at Bain & Company Middle East.
By transforming sustainability from a compliance-driven requirement into a strategic growth enabler, the tool empowers businesses to improve ESG ratings, attract sustainability-focused investors, and drive long-term value.
The Sustainability Readiness Tool is now available for organisations seeking to refine their sustainability strategies. For more details, contact Sustainability.Readiness@bain.com.
