Nasdaq Dubai has added a USD 500 million floating-rate bond from Bank of China Dubai Branch, marking a significant milestone for Chinese issuers and reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading global hub for international fixed-income listings.

The three-year conventional bond, maturing on 24 November 2028, was issued under the bank’s USD 40 billion Medium Term Note Programme. It achieved the narrowest issuance spread recorded for a three-year U.S. dollar bond from a Chinese bank, reflecting strong global confidence in Bank of China’s credit profile and funding strategy.

With the latest listing, Bank of China’s outstanding debt instruments on Nasdaq Dubai now stand at approximately USD 1.9 billion across multiple tenors. The exchange continues to see increasing activity from Chinese institutions, which have collectively raised more than USD 27 billion through various listings.

To commemorate the listing, Consul General of China in Dubai H.E. Ou Boqian rang the market-opening bell alongside Hamed Ali, CEO of Nasdaq Dubai and Dubai Financial Market, and senior executives from both organisations.

H.E. Ou Boqian said the issuance demonstrates the growing influence of Chinese financial institutions in global markets while reinforcing Dubai’s stature as a financial centre in the Middle East. Hamed Ali noted the longstanding partnership with Bank of China and highlighted Dubai’s role as a strategic bridge connecting China with global capital markets.

Nasdaq Dubai’s total outstanding value of debt securities has now surpassed USD 145 billion, further cementing its standing as the region’s leading venue for international debt listings and a key platform for cross-border capital flows.
