From November 26 to 29, Big 5 Global, alongside co-located events LiveableCitiesX, GeoWorld, and Future FM, will host five major summits in Dubai, bringing together 1,500 leaders from government and private sectors.

These summits aim to address critical urban challenges and set an agenda for sustainable development.

"Cities in the Global South grapple with overcrowding and resource optimization, while the Global North faces aging infrastructure and population shifts,"

said Josine Heijmans, Senior Vice President of dmg events.

"Big 5 Global, alongside LiveableCitiesX, serves as a hub for innovation, uniting experts and policymakers to pave the way for resilient, liveable cities."

The MEASA region's urban construction sector is booming, with $6.75 trillion in ongoing projects, driven by national initiatives like UAE Vision 2031. The Big 5 Global Leaders’ Summit and LiveableCitiesX Summit will host strategic discussions on innovation, sustainability, and urban planning, featuring notable speakers from the UAE, including Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy & Infrastructure.

"The UAE is committed to implementing global innovations that enhance quality of life,”

Al Mazrouei noted.

“At Big 5 Global, I look forward to discussing how public-private partnerships are key to a sustainable, future-ready industry."

Highlight speakers include Robert Beugré Mambé, Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire, who will discuss resilient city-building at LiveableCitiesX. Fred Mills, Managing Director of The B1M, will address construction's role in urban regeneration, while international experts like Lord Udny-Lister and Prof. Carlos Moreno, creator of the “15-minute City” concept, will share insights on global urban development trends.
