Big 5 Global opens this week in Dubai, drawing the construction and urban development community to the Dubai World Trade Centre for four days of sourcing, knowledge exchange and industry insight across the MEASA region.
Running from 24 to 27 November, the 46th edition is backed by major government entities including the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism, Dubai Municipality, the Dubai Civil Defense and several regional municipal authorities. Their support reflects the event’s growing role as a platform for collaboration and sectorwide development.
This year’s programme places heightened attention on the priorities shaping today’s project landscape. Organisers are spotlighting four key themes that mirror the region’s evolving needs: resilient supply chains, technology advancement, sustainable transformation and talent empowerment.
Sustainability stands out across the exhibition. The Big 5 Impact Trail is guiding participants toward suppliers offering greener materials and solutions designed to cut emissions and support more resource efficient project delivery.
High level speakers are also set to take the stage. Abdulla Geldiyev, Minister of Construction and Architecture for Turkmenistan, will deliver a keynote at the LiveableCitiesX Summit, where he will outline Turkmenistan’s urban development ambitions. Sihle Zikalala, South Africa’s Deputy Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, will address workforce transformation and long term infrastructure planning at the Big 5 Global Leaders’ Summit.
As anticipation builds, the event is expected to offer a comprehensive view of the opportunities and challenges shaping construction markets across the MEASA region, while connecting industry players with the innovations driving progress.
