Nasdaq Dubai has welcomed the listing of a $500 million Green Sukuk by Binghatti Holding Limited, marking the property developer’s first ESG-linked issuance and a key step in its sustainability journey.

Issued under Binghatti’s $1.5 billion Trust Certificate Issuance Programme, the Sukuk matures in 2029 and attracted strong investor interest, with subscriptions exceeding the offering by 4.3 times. The issuance received over $2.1 billion in orders from regional and international investors and was priced at a profit rate of 7.75 percent, tightening from initial guidance of 8.125 percent.

Proceeds from the Sukuk will be directed toward qualified green projects under Binghatti’s sustainability framework, supporting the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 initiative and Dubai’s broader sustainable finance strategy.

To mark the listing, Binghatti Vice Chairman Ahmed BinGhatti and CEO Katralnada BinGhatti rang the market-opening bell at Nasdaq Dubai in the presence of Hamed Ali, CEO of Nasdaq Dubai and Dubai Financial Market, along with senior executives from both organisations.

Katralnada BinGhatti said the debut Green Sukuk represents a milestone in the company’s pursuit of sustainable and responsible growth, highlighting investor confidence in Binghatti’s business model and long-term vision.

Ali noted that the transaction underscores the growing global appetite for ESG-focused instruments and reinforces Dubai’s position as a leading hub for Islamic and sustainable finance.

With this listing, Binghatti’s total Sukuk value on Nasdaq Dubai has reached $1.5 billion, while the total outstanding value of debt listings on the exchange now exceeds $141 billion, solidifying its role as a global centre for innovative financial instruments.
