BurJuman Mall has officially activated its ticketless paid parking system, joining a growing list of Dubai malls embracing automated, license plate-based parking solutions. The move is aimed at improving traffic flow and enhancing convenience for shoppers.

The system, powered by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras, removes the need for physical tickets. While entrance and exit barriers remain in place, they lift automatically, allowing vehicles to move through seamlessly.

Parking fees remain unchanged despite the upgrade. Visitors still receive up to three hours of free parking, with charges applying only after that threshold.

Key details of the new parking system:

  • Free parking: First 3 hours remain free of charge
  • Paid parking: AED 20 per additional hour or part thereof
  • Free days: No parking charges on Sundays and public holidays
  • Payment methods:
    • Validation required at payment machines
    • Payments accepted via cash, card, or online at the machines
    • Only card payments accepted at the exit
  • Exit time: Vehicles must exit within 15 minutes of payment/validation
  • Re-entry rule: Free parking eligibility resets only after 6 hours from exit
  • Cinema benefit: Vox Cinemas visitors get an additional 3 hours of free parking (validation required at Vox counter)
  • Vehicle responsibility: Mall assumes no liability for damage or loss; incidents must be reported to Dubai Police

Parking regulations and penalties:

  • Overnight parking: Not allowed; violations may result in AED 350/day penalty
  • Misuse or improper parking: Subject to AED 250 fine and vehicle towing
  • Electric vehicles:
    • Must use designated charging stations (max 1 hour)
    • Use of regular mall electric sockets is prohibited
  • Speed limit: 20 km/h inside parking facility
  • Special zones: Reserved spaces for People of Determination and families must be respected
  • Private transport buses: Not permitted in the car park

The implementation follows similar ticketless systems at Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre, and Dubai Mall, signaling a broader shift across the city toward barrierless, tech-driven parking solutions.

BurJuman Mall management noted it reserves the right to amend the parking terms as needed and may deny access to vehicles violating regulations.
