Calidus Holding Group and Indra Group have signed a strategic agreement to establish a joint venture in the United Arab Emirates, aiming to serve the Middle East as well as markets across Asia, Africa, and Europe.
The partnership, announced at the Dubai Airshow from 17-21 November 2025, will focus on developing advanced training solutions for civil and military sectors.
The collaboration covers technology transfer, co-development, local manufacturing, integration, and certification of high-end simulators for aerospace, defence, and air traffic control systems. The joint venture will design and produce both hardware and software, integrating motion and visual systems to create a regional simulation and strategic training centre.
The new centre in Al Ain will provide simulator-based courses for pilots, flight and ground crews, unmanned aerial vehicle operators, and radar personnel, aiming to localise simulation technologies and foster national technical expertise. The initiative is expected to position the UAE as a regional hub for certified training and defence innovation.
Dr. Khalifa Murad Alblooshi, CEO of Calidus Holding Group, described the partnership as a key step in strengthening the UAE’s defence ecosystem and advancing specialised training capabilities for national and regional personnel.
Ángel Escribano, Executive Chairman of Indra Group, highlighted the joint venture’s role in expanding Indra’s presence in the Middle East and enhancing service delivery to global customers.
José Vicente de los Mozos, CEO of Indra Group, emphasized the importance of next-generation simulator technology for preparing pilots, air traffic controllers, and other professionals, ensuring high levels of safety and operational performance.
