Cambodian companies are deepening their footprint in Dubai as new data from Dubai Chambers shows rising investor interest and growing economic ties between the two markets.
By the end of September, thirty-two Cambodian firms were registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, including eight that joined in the first nine months of the year.
Salem AlShamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, highlighted the momentum during the “Doing Business with Cambodia” forum. He said the steady increase in registrations reflects strong investment potential and a shared commitment to building sustainable partnerships.
AlShamsi noted that Cambodia’s push to sign new agreements with Dubai-based companies signals confidence in the emirate’s business ecosystem. He added that the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the UAE and Cambodia has opened new channels for trade and investment, contributing to higher activity and capital flows.
According to Dubai Chambers, non-oil trade between Dubai and Cambodia surpassed US$394 million in 2024. Officials say this provides a solid foundation for further expansion across key sectors.
AlShamsi underscored Dubai’s role as a strategic base for Cambodian companies seeking global growth, citing the emirate’s advanced infrastructure, efficient logistics network and access to high-growth markets across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
The forum formed part of a Dubai Chamber trade mission and brought together a delegation of sixteen Emirati business leaders under the Chamber’s New Horizons programme, which supports companies exploring opportunities in high-potential international markets.
