National Industries Park (NIP), DP World’s industrial hub in Dubai, will soon host one of the region’s largest automotive refurbishment facilities under a AED55 million partnership with Cars24.

The project aims to strengthen Dubai’s growing position as a global hub for automotive trade and innovation.

Spanning 220,000 square feet, the new centre will handle over 100,000 vehicles a year and create more than 200 jobs in its first phase. Construction is scheduled to begin in November 2025, with operations set to start in August 2026.

The facility is designed to serve rising demand from electric vehicle manufacturers and Chinese OEMs, offering multi-brand refurbishment, pre-delivery inspections, after-sales support, and export-ready preparation. It will be powered by solar energy and equipped to extend vehicle lifecycles, particularly for EVs, reducing the need for new manufacturing and supporting sustainability goals.

Every vehicle processed will undergo more than 140 internal checkpoints, Dubai RTA approval, and certification from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, ensuring top-tier safety and quality standards.

Abdulla Al Hashmi, Chief Operating Officer of Parks & Zones at DP World GCC, said the collaboration underscores Dubai’s role as a key automotive hub. He highlighted the region’s used car market, valued at over $100 billion in 2024, with steady growth expected through 2030.

Abhinav Gupta, CEO of Cars24 Arabia, said the new facility will set benchmarks for speed, reliability, and sustainability, providing seamless access to regional and international trade routes.

The project is part of DP World’s expanding automotive cluster across NIP and Jafza and aligns with Dubai’s broader strategy to become the region’s leading automotive gateway.
