The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Security Institute to enhance cooperation in the areas of workplace security, safety, and occupational health.
The agreement was formalized at the CBUAE headquarters in Abu Dhabi, marking a significant step in strengthening security and safety standards across the banking sector.
The MoU, signed by Saif Al Dhaheri, Assistant Governor for Banking Operations and Support Services at CBUAE, and Nahyan Al Tunaiji, CEO of the National Security Institute, focuses on enhancing theoretical and practical training in security, safety, and health. It also aims to develop joint initiatives between both institutions to improve workplace safety and raise awareness about quality systems in organizational performance.
Saif Al Dhaheri emphasized the Central Bank's commitment to providing a safe working environment, stating that the MoU aligns with international standards and will equip specialized teams with the necessary skills to handle various security scenarios.
Nahyan Al Tunaiji highlighted the importance of the partnership in fostering a healthy and secure work environment, noting that the MoU will enhance the capabilities of CBUAE employees by offering advisory services and training in line with best global practices. The collaboration, he added, will contribute to raising security and safety standards within the Central Bank, ensuring continuous improvement in business quality.
Both parties expressed confidence in the mutual benefits of the MoU, paving the way for fruitful cooperation in the future.
