Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced a record participation of more than 260 Chinese exhibitors at the upcoming Water, Energy and Environment Technology Exhibition (WETEX).
The event will run from 30 September to 2 October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, featuring a dedicated Chinese pavilion spanning over 2,800 square metres.
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, said the strong presence reflects deepening UAE-China ties and reinforces the exhibition’s role as a global hub for clean energy, water and sustainability solutions. Bilateral trade between the UAE and China reached US$102 billion in 2024, highlighting the strength of this partnership.
David Wang, Chairman of MIE Group, the organiser of the Chinese pavilion, described WETEX as a “strategic entry point” for Chinese enterprises into the MENA market, enabling connections with partners and opportunities aligned with the UAE’s sustainability vision.
Chinese companies are set to unveil new solar technologies, smart energy systems and advanced water management solutions. Key exhibitors include Vontron Technology, showcasing next-generation membranes, and Beijing OriginWater, presenting cutting-edge filtration and bio-reactor systems.
Now in its 27th edition, WETEX continues to strengthen international cooperation, drive technological innovation and support the UAE’s Net Zero Strategy 2050.
